Split Pea Soup










Saute onion, celery, carrot. Add rinsed,dried split peas. Cover with water, cook. When beans are tender, puree. Put it into a slow cooker, add diced ham, some real bacon bits, a bay leaf, thyme, salt and pepper.
We went skiing.
Had some when we got home.
